Quality Score
A diagnostic Google Ads measure of the comparative quality and relevance of an ad, keyword and landing-page experience.
Quality Score points advertisers to the keywords, ads and landing pages most likely to be holding back performance, because the same underlying relevance signals influence ad rank and the cost paid per click.
An account manager filters keywords with Quality Score below 5, sees that most rate 'Below average' on landing page experience, and sends that traffic to a dedicated pricing page that matches the query instead of the homepage.
Quality Score is a keyword-level diagnostic, not an input to the auction, and it is computed only when there is enough exact-match search volume. Chasing a higher score can distract from conversion volume and profit.
Google Ads reports Quality Score on a 1 to 10 scale for each keyword. It combines three component ratings, each shown as above average, average or below average: expected click-through rate, ad relevance and landing page experience. Ratings compare the advertiser with others whose ads showed for the exact same search terms over the past 90 days, while the live auction uses real-time versions of these signals.
